# How do I add a phone input field to my form?

1. **You need to add a phone field to your form**

* _If the phone field was a part of your database before you created the form_ - then it will be automatically imported to NoteForms when you create it.

* _If you want to add it to an already-existing form_ you must [add a new field in Notion](https://help.noteforms.com/en/article/how-to-add-more-fields-to-my-form-1cameu0/) and [refresh your form structure](https://help.noteforms.com/en/article/how-do-i-refresh-my-forms-structure-1sfhskj/) afterwards.

2. Once the field is in NoteForms, open the field settings (inside the left-side panel or the form-preview):


3. Besides the usual form field settings, you have some options available:

* _You can change the pre-filled country code_.

It is set up to the United States by default but you can set up any country.


* _You can use a simple text input_ instead of the smart functions that are set up as default.
