# 🕒 How to Add a Timestamp to Your Form?

Want to capture the **exact date and time** when someone submits your form? You can easily add a **timestamp** using a date field with time enabled.

## ✅ Steps to Add a Timestamp
1. In NoteForms, open your form in **create or edit mode**.
2. Click **“Add Field”** and choose the **Date** input type.
3. Click the **blue gear icon ⚙️** next to the date field to open settings.
4. In the settings modal:
    * Enable **“Date with time”**
    * (Optional) Set a **specific timezone** if needed
5. **Save your changes** and publish the form!

## 🎯 Pro Tip: Add a Hidden Timestamp That Auto-Fills
Want to automatically record the current date and time *without showing it to the user*?
1. Add a **Date input field**
2. Set it to **Hidden**
3. Turn on **“Prefill with today”** and **“Include time”**
4. Choose your **Timezone** and **Time Format**
5. Publish the form — and you're done!
