# How to Clear Empty Fields When Users Update a Notion Form?

If you want to keep your Notion database clean when someone edits their submission, you can automatically clear any fields they leave empty. Just follow these simple steps:
1. Open your form and go to the **Edit Form** page.
2. Click **Settings** in the top-left corner.
3. Find **Update existing record** and turn on **Clear empty fields on update**.
4. Click **Publish Form** in the top-right to save your changes.
