# Where are my files uploaded?

By default, files uploaded through your forms are stored directly in your Notion workspace using Notion's native file storage. This provides seamless integration and keeps all your data in one place.

## How it works

When someone submits a file through your form, we upload it directly to Notion using their official File Upload API. The file appears in your Notion database just like any other file you'd upload manually in Notion.

## File size limits

If an uploaded file exceeds your Notion workspace's limit, we'll automatically store it on our secure servers as a fallback, ensuring your form submissions are never lost.

## Supported file types

Notion supports a wide range of file types including:
* **Images**: JPG, PNG, GIF, SVG, WebP, and more
* **Documents**: PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, TXT
* **Audio**: MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG
* **Video**: MP4, AVI, MOV, WebM

## Disabling Notion native uploads

If you prefer to store files on our servers instead of Notion, you can disable this feature:

1. Go to your form editor
2. Navigate to **Settings** → **Security & Access**
3. Under the "File Upload" section, toggle off **"Upload files directly to Notion"**
4. Optionally enable **"Upload file privately"** for additional security

When disabled, files will be stored securely on our servers and linked to your Notion database.

## Troubleshooting

* Verify the file type is supported by Notion
* Ensure your Notion integration has proper permissions
