How to Allow Editing of Relations in My Form (Sub-form)?
Sub-forms can also support editing of related database entries — allowing users to update linked items without leaving the form.
Steps to enable relation editing:
- Click the ⚙️ Settings icon next to your relation field.
- In the panel, under Creation Form, toggle Enable Relation Editing.
- Choose an existing form linked to the related database or create a new one.
- Click Publish or Save to apply the changes.
A dedicated sub-form for editing will be created in your NoteForms dashboard. You can configure it with Pro features and integrations just like any other form.
Important Notes:
- Ensure the related database is connected to your main database and shared with NoteForms.
- If your relation field isn’t showing, visit:
Where is my relation field/column?
- ⚠️ Sub-forms for editing only work with forms created after June 18, 2025.
