🛡️ How to Collect the IP Address of Form Respondents in NoteForms?

Want to keep your form data clean and secure? With NoteForms, you can automatically collect the IP address of each person who submits your form — no coding or extra setup required. This helps you spot duplicate or suspicious entries and verify where submissions come from.

Here’s how to enable IP collection:

  1. Log in to NoteForms.

Start by signing in to your NoteForms account.

  1. Open your form.

From your dashboard, select the form you want to track and click Edit Form.

  1. Add a Rich Text Input field.

Click Add Block (top-right corner) and choose Rich Text Input from the left panel.

. Enable IP collection.

In the Field Settings, scroll down to IDs & Tracking and switch on Collect IP Addresses.💡 When enabled, this field is hidden from respondents. NoteForms will automatically record each submitter’s IP address behind the scenes — no need for users to type anything.

  1. Publish your form.

Click Publish Form (top-right corner) to save and activate your changes.

✅ Why collect IP addresses?

  • Detect duplicate or fraudulent submissions.
  • Verify where form responses are coming from.
  • Keep your data accurate and trustworthy — all while keeping the form experience simple for users.
