How to add more fields to my form?

Accepted Answer

For most field types:

To add more fields to your form, you can simply click the + or Add block button within the form editor.

For Relations and Status

However, it you want to add a relation field, or a status field, you need to add more columns to your Notion database. Do not forget to choose the right type for your new column.

||| ** Notes: Newly added columns are hidden by default in the form**. So if you already added the columns, you need to un-hide it in NoteForms to be able to use it.

How to add a star rating input?

|| This feature is only available for Pro and Team plan subscribers.

By default for Notion column of type "Number" NoteForms display a simple text input. If needed, you can also use a star rating input for the columns of type Number. Here's how to proceed:

Open the form editor
Open the settings for the "Number" input you want to transform into a star rating
In the Number category, enable the "Rating" option. Optionally you can choose the number of stars. By default, it's 5.

That's all you can save your form and see your new rating input.

I cannot find my Notion database

Accepted Answer

Before you can use NoteForms with your Notion databases, you need to share your databases with our Notion integration. If you can't find your Notion database while creating a form, please try the following:

Open your database in Notion
Click on the three little dots on the top right corner
Click on "+ Add connections"
Type "NoteForms"
Click on our integration, and on the Invite button

If you still can't see your table, please try to disconnect the integration, and to re-connect it (re-follow instructions above).

Click on “Share a Notion DB” from the left side of your NoteForms account.

Select and check the pages where the databases are located and click on allow access.

Where is my "relation" field/column?

Accepted Answer

There are two things required for the relation property to be used in your form:

In order for them to work you need to ensure that the related table is also shared with our integration. Notion only shares with us the existence of a relation only if we have access to both tables. Click here to Share a Notion DB on the right side of the page.

You should also make sure that the relation exists on both tables ("Show on 'Related table' "). The column can be hidden from the related table but it must exist.

You can also choose to display either the title, text, URL or phone number of the related field.
